This piece was created in the Chilliwack River, British Columbia, Canada. The energy of the river swollen with spring glacial melt is captured through a forging of pebbles, sand and driftwood on muslin fabric treated with cyanotype chemistry. The piece was left to expose on the pebbly riverback while natural materials foraged from the river were arranged on the fabric. The piece was fixed in water then dried and hand-stitched with cotton thread.
