Water is a vital element for all living beings and a source of inspiration for artists throughout history. Whether it's a serene lake at sunset, a rushing river through a canyon, or the vastness of the ocean, water has the power to evoke emotions and capture our imaginations.

Are you an artist who loves to create stunning waterscapes, whether it's through photography, painting, drawing, collage, sculpting, or textile and fiber arts? If so, Making Waves: Waterscapes in Art is the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your talent. Whether you prefer a realistic or abstract style, there are endless possibilities to explore. All mediums are welcome to create your water-inspired masterpieces.

Here are some ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

  • A peaceful pond surrounded by trees and wildlife
  • Waves crashing on a rocky shore
  • A river flowing through a bustling city
  • A misty morning on a calm lake
  • A sunset over the ocean with vibrant colors

Don't miss out on this chance to share your love of water and your artistic talent with the world. Submit today and be part of this exciting exhibit.

20% of the exhibit proceeds benefit Chautauqua Lake Association (CLA) toward lake conservation efforts. CLA is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting Chautauqua Lake and its surrounding areas. The lake is not only a beautiful natural resource, but also an important economic asset to the region. CLA's conservation efforts include monitoring water quality, controlling invasive species, and promoting sustainable development practices. By supporting the exhibit, you are not only enjoying great art, but also contributing to the health and sustainability of this vital natural resource.

A Best in Show (cash prize) and Awards of Distinction will be awarded to the works of highest artistic merit based on technical skill, creativity, innovation, and adherence to theme. An Artists' Choice and People's Choice award will also be selected based on popular vote.

With the option to submit up to three entries for just $30, this is an affordable and accessible way to increase your art's visibility. So why not submit your work today and see where it can take you?
